Jerusalem Ridge 2008 Celebration ...

The Success Continues

Howdy Bluegrass fans!...This is Campbell "Doc" Mercer, producer of the Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Celebration and the Cumberland Highlanders Show. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those bluegrass fans who attended Jerusalem Ridge 2008. They were part of the best Celebration to date! Our incredible and dedicated staff of volunteers and support personnel managed to ensure that everyone had a good place to park and camp and that they got back and forth to the main stage area where they were entertained by over 44 bands playing the best traditional bluegrass music heard anywhere!

Some 2008 Celebration Facts

  • By the first day of the festival fans from 47 states were represented, and by Sunday most of our great states were represented
  • Farthest distance traveled by American were fans and pickers who drove from Alaska
  • Bluegrass fans from around the world came from Canada, Australia, England, Belgium, and Norway.
  • By the festival end, 43 acts had entertained and shared their love for the music, the fans, each other, the Monroe Project and Bill and Charlie Monroe

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the loyal fans who made the trip to Jerusalem Ridge to honor and celebrate our musical heritage, for without them and their support, our efforts would be fruitless.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the over 43 acts and almost 200 performers, our sponsors, board members, friends and volunteers and everyone whose generous efforts, and contributions helped make Jerusalem Ridge 2008 possible. We could not have done it without them.
